Margot’s Wedding Shoot
Back in 2018 we took part in a shoot with Helen from Margot’s Wedding at the stunning Balcombe Place in West Sussex. The theme of the shoot was inspired by the Arts & Crafts movement so we naturally knew this shoot would be a perfect fit for our brand.
Marie went along with our dress Loretta, Dolly top and palazzo pants from our new capsule collection which is launching soon. The lace, delicate buttons and silks worked perfectly with the theme. We also wanted to create a bespoke gown for the shoot inspired by William Morris and the Art & Crafts movement.
Fashion at this time felt soft and romantic, beautiful images by artist Dante Gabriel Rossetti of Jane Morris inspired the gown we created. We used a luxurious, dusty blush pink, silk base, layered with a beautiful guipure lace overlay for both the skirt and top, the off the shoulder top felt like a nod to the romantic styling of the early 1900’s and the pink silk belt with delicate bow finished off the look.
On the day we worked to style each of the looks of our gowns with the various accessories that had been provided for the shoot.
We loved the pairing of these fabulous feather capes and the cotton lace fringe shawl by Future Folklore with our Loretta dress which really reflected the theme of the shoot.
Loretta is a whimsical floor length gown. Made from a luxurious silk base, layered with spot tulle and a beautiful soft lace. Full sleeves with a statement cuffs. The gown is finished with hand covered buttons and the bodice is lightly corseted and can be worn with a bra, or a fully structured base layer can be created. Loretta is finished with an optional soft under bust corset. She looks beautiful with or without!
For the amazing shots in front of Balcombe Places fireplace we paired our Dolly lace top with the palazzo pants from our new capsule collection. This was styled with a stunning headpiece by Agnes Walker and a pair of delicate gold sandals. A feather cape would also make a great alternative cover up for your wedding day.
